Founder's Message

Recognition: Kay has received the highest recommendation from educators and community leaders for her commitment, charismatic attitude, and excellence, making her a role model for women everywhere.

Founding Director Kay Kim's long term commitment has included educating Korean families to understand the American educational system thereby optimizing success in both school and society. Additionally Korean parents have learned transitional techniques to support their children as they navigate the American culture and "way of life".

Kay's commitment does not stop there. She has helped educators in the U.S. to better understand Korean families and their culture. Whether it be as a four term elected school board member, columnist, motivational speaks and parent of three children, Kay has been an advocate for other parents and students.

Her commitment, charismatic attitude, and quiet excellence has made her a role model for women everywhere. Kay has often been sought out for her expertise, both in the United States and Korea. Kay has coordinated and facilitated numerous projects with SOME (Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education) and broadcasting companies such as KBS, MBC, Edaily News). She has also been featured in a EBS documentary and regularly appears as a newspaper columnist educating parents both in the U.S. and Korea, those far and near.

Her clear mission has always been promoting a mutual understanding of Korean and American cultures through Excellence in Education.
